Transferring 1Password from an old Mac onto a new one

I just bought my wife a brand new MacBook Air, and I'd like to disable the version of 1Password running on her old computer and install it on her new computer. She is running 1Password4 4.0.9 (409002). Thanks!

The license can be used on the new computer. If she's lost the license file, it can be recovered from Agile's site. That is, assuming you bought from the Agile web store.

If it was bought from Apple's App Store, no license is needed, she just needs to install using the same Apple ID.

And if you actually want to disable the old version, just delete it. That will of course keep the old database of passwords, but that's no problem if she keeps the old machine, and if she is not keeping the old machine then everything should be deleted.

    Hi @tonyn999‌

I hope that @danco's advice helped - he's right on the money.

If you have any questions about how to transfer the 1Password data from the old machine to her shiny new MacBook Air, please let me know - we're here for you. :)
