Safari Extension fails to open at least half the time - for no apparent reason
I don't know if others have experienced this problem. But the Safari extension (Yosemite, 1Password Version 5.0.2) does not open directly when I click on it approximately half, at least, of the time, and for no reason that I can discern. When this happens, and even after opening the program regularly, the problem persists. Sometimes, however, it works fine. It's puzzling and seems like a bug, though it's not clear whether the problem is with Safari or the extension (to me, a low-tech user, at any rate). And, to provide all the information that may be helpful, I have not found that this is an issue with 1Password Mini. Please let me know if anyone else has experienced this problem; if there's a fix or something obvious I'm doing wrong; etc. Thank you.

Hi @rdsloane,
Thanks for taking the time to write to us
I assume that you are using the latest version of the Safari Extension (4.2.5). Your problem may be caused by a firewall or antivirus app blocking/interfering with localhost (127.0.0.1). Please make sure that such an app doesn't interfere between the Safari Extension and 1Password mini.
If you don't have a firewall or an antivirus app installed on your Mac, please send us a Diagnostics Report from your Mac, along with a link to this topic and your forum username, to support+forum@agilebits.com. A brief comment here mentioning that you've sent the report would also be helpful.
Once we see the report we'll be able to better assist you.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks. I appreciate the prompt reply. I've asked the IT dep't at my employer to advise on how to enable an exception to the antivirus (McAfee) software or firewall (if there is one; I don't know). I may follow up further if that doesn't resolve the issue. Thanks, RDS
