1Password, 2 browsers, several questions

I am looking into purchasing a different password manager and I have reviewed only a few pages of you user's guide. Perhaps the following questions are answered in your documentation/ this discussion board, but I need a quick answer before I make up my mind on trying/purchasing this app.

-I'm using 2 browsers (Safari and Google) with my Mac BookPro; how many licenses do I need to purchase?

-I'm using 2 step verification on some sites; I assume your app handles this. Could you please direct me to the user's guide for more information?

-Do you have a tool that will capture data from my current PWM vault?-(Currently using Last Pass)

-When login-in to a site where the credentials are not yet stored at LP vault, would your app detect this (if not in LP vault-> store data)?

-Do I need to renew the licensing rights (pay the fee) every year?

-What is the cost and meaning of optional paid features for IOS devices -(I would need to install this app in 2 iPad's and 1 iPhone)

Let me try to answer some of your questions.

-I'm using 2 browsers (Safari and Google) with my Mac BookPro; how many licenses do I need to purchase?

One only, however many browsers you use on the machine.

-I'm using 2 step verification on some sites; I assume your app handles this. Could you please direct me to the user's guide for more information?

1Password does not currently specifically deal with two step verification. It is something many users are interested in and I'm sure AgileBits is looking at it. (I'm not employed by AgileBits so can't tell you anything more.)

-Do you have a tool that will capture data from my current PWM vault?-(Currently using Last Pass)

Yes. One of the forum users has created an import utility to import data from Last Pass into 1Password.

-When login-in to a site where the credentials are not yet stored at LP vault, would your app detect this (if not in LP vault-> store data)?

Yes. You can set up 1Password to detect and prompt you to save new logins.

-Do I need to renew the licensing rights (pay the fee) every year?

No. Payments are made only on major version changes and there are many and frequent free updates within major version numbers. (Indeed, the update from version 4 to version 5 was also free. Paid upgrades a really not that frequent.)

-What is the cost and meaning of optional paid features for IOS devices -(I would need to install this app in 2 iPad's and 1 iPhone)

Have a look here, which is a page describing what you want to know.

There are two other points I'll add which are important. If you want to use iCloud to sync your Mac and iPhone you must buy 1Password from the Mac App Store as the AgileBits store version doesn't support iCloud sync. (That's the only material difference between the two versions.)

The other point probably worth mentioning is that these forums are incredibly useful. There are a lot of really helpful people here and AgileBits' employees read and answer posts pretty well every day. The support offered by these forums is, in my view, second to none. (I appreciate I may be a little biased! :) )

    Hi @Don Pomponio

I think Stephen_C answered all of your questions but if you have more or need something in more depth then please do let us know by posting here. Stephen_C is correct that currently 1Password doesn't handle 2FA but it is on our radar. Sadly I can't give you an ETA as to when it will be incorporated into the different versions.

Just to add, a single user licence will cover as many machines as you and five other family members in the same household have. It's similar to Apple's Family Sharing in that respect but when done through us you don't have to link your Apple IDs. Our licences are per platform and I think Stephen_C covered pretty much everything else.

As I said though, if you have more questions do please ask.
