Need Help Syncing

in Mac

I have an iPhone5 and have been unable to sync it with my macbook air. I previously used an iMac and didn't have any trouble syncing. I no longer have the iMac though and have been unable to sync to the new macbook. I've tried wifi, dropbox and iCloud. It shows that it's syncing but when i check the items, nothing has changed. Please help!

    For a start, please confirm:

    1. your OS X and iOS version numbers (i.e., the operating system version numbers);
    2. the version number of 1P that you're using on your Mac and on your phone;
    3. whether you bought 1P for Mac from the Mac App Store or direct from the AgileBits store.

    Once we have that information someone will be able to give you more help.

    MacBook is running:
    OS X Yosemite v10.10
    1Password 5 Version 5.1.BETA-16 (510016) Agile Beta

    iPhone is running:
    iOS 8.1.2
    1Password Version 5.1.2

    don't remember if i purchased directly off the site or App Store

    According to your specs you are on the website version of 1Password. There is a newer beta available. 21 as of my writing this.

    Do you have Dropbox installed and running on the Air ? Its possible Dropbox was quit and or stopped for some reason. Does it appear in the menubar ?

    *Of note : There have been 'reported issues' of Dropbox not properly starting and getting linked to an account when you use things such as migration assistant. (Those issues reported In the Dropbox forums). Did you use migration assistant ? If it has been some time ago then likely you were not affected. Most folks notice this very early on.

    As to the syncing directly. Can you verify that in preferences you have 1Password setup to sync on the Mac.

    Mine looks like this. Please not this is a beta and its possible your preferences look different than mine but you should be able to determine if its setup and syncing with Dropbox.

    Can I ask, do you normally prefer to run a beta of 1Password for Mac? If you do I'm going to consider moving this to the Mac Beta forum in the belief that this will receive better attention. Please do let us know :smile:
