Attachments not synced to new Mac
Just got a nice shinny new Retina 5K iMac. I decided to set it as a new Mac and not migrate. The 1Password DB synced fine from DropBox to the new Mac. The attachments I had on the old Mac did not come over. 1PW shows there is an attachment but when you try to one it it says "The file “<>” could not be opened because it is empty. I have the Direct D/L version 5.0.2 (would like to switch to MAS one but we can talk about that later ;). How can I get the attachments to come over? On the old Mac if you open it and CMD select to see the path it will show the files one at a time in the folders but not all. Have to CMD select each one. I have way to many attachments to do this to all of them and manually move them... Thoughts? Thanks!

Try:
- disabling and re-enabling Dropbox sync; or, if that doesn't work
- re-setting Dropbox sync in accordance with this post from AgileBits (ignoring the parts that refer to iOS devices, of course).

I've got the feeling Stephen_C's suggestion won't help in this instance but if I'm wrong just ignore the rest of this message.
If you don't have any Login items unique to your shiny new Retina 5K iMac what I'd probably recommend is to follow the Starting Over guide and then copy a up to date backup from your old Mac to the new one, that will take care of all the items with attachments.
On your old Mac go into 1Password's preferences and switch to the Backup tab. Click the Backup Now button and then the Show Files button. That will open a Finder window where the backups are stored. Copy the newest one to a pen drive and move that to your new iMac.
Having following the Starting Over guide when you next open 1Password on the new iMac it will be as if 1Password hasn't been run before. Follow the Getting started again on a new computer guide and point it to the backup file you've copied over. You will need to set up syncing again but the vault(s) will be identical to those on your old Mac.
As for your items with attachments. There are a couple of quirks we've had to iron out when it comes to attachments. It might be you need to create fresh 1Password entries, copy the contents (including attachments) over to the new item to get it to sync everything properly. As you already had Dropbox set up by the sounds of it I assume you are syncing with another machine or device, are all the attachments present there?

Restoring from the backup file worked well. It is syncing with 1 other Mac and 2 iOS devices. Attachments are syncing fine to all. Thanks for the help. ~Shaun
