1P with Google Chrome not reliable
Hello,
maybe does somebody knows or also have problems with Google Chrome and 1P?
I use LaunchBar and Google Chrome and 1Password.
Since yesterday 1Password is not longer working reliable.
If I search a login with LaunchBar...
on some websites the automatic login is working correct.
on some websites the automatic fill out is not working => Sometimes I can login with a click on "cmd + #"
on some websites the automatic fill out is not working => Sometimes I can NOT login with a click on "cmd + #" => In this case 1Password Mini does not shows me the login data from the website, but normaly or often the browser plugin shows me the login data. But if I click on the login inside the browser plugin it is not working. => Then I have to reload the website and after that the login with "cmd + #" is working again.
After some tests I reset the Google Chrome browser with deleting the people inside the settings (so all data are deleted and it is like a fresh installation) and installed the 1P browser plugin again, but it didn't help.

Hi @Philipp,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with 1Password right now! I'd love to get just a bit more information so we can help track this issue down.
Could you please let us know the version numbers of 1Password, your browser and your operating system?
Are you able to provide a few more specifics on how 1Password is not working? I appreciate your already-detailed report, but generalities like "some websites" and "sometimes this happens" makes it rather difficult to re-create the issue on our end. For example, if there are particular sites that are not working consistently, please let us know the URL.
We really appreciate your help in figuring this out!

Hi Megan,
sure, sorry for my insufficient explanation
Mac OS-X 10.10.1
1Password 5.0.2 (502006) from MAS
Chrome 39.0.2171.95 (64-bit)Always working with Launchbar when the browser was started first (if the browser is closed, then the fill out is not working)
- Amazon.de
- Google.com
- ebay.at
It is never working with Launchbar for... (but it is working after reload the website with "cmd + #")
- gmx.at
- paypal.com
- getpocket.com
- runtastic.com
- tumblr.com
It is not working with Launchbar for... (but the fill out is starting automatically without "cmd + #" after a reload of the website)
- vimeo.com
It is working with Launchbar only, when at this browser session was a login for any other site first...
- yahoo.com
It is a little bit strange. And I hope I have tested it enough. Now I have also tested it with Firefox 34.0.5 - There I have the same troubles.

Hi @Philipp,
That sounds like an issue with the Go and Fill feature, which is not the same as pressing the keyboard shortcut when the site is already loaded.
Can you tell me if it is more reliable if you open the main 1Password app first and then clicking on the URL in your Login items? This is also the same as Go and Fill from Launchbar and if it shows the same problem, then it is not LaunchBar either.
Also, in Chrome, can you go to the Window Menu > Extensions, and tell me which version you have installed for the 1Password extension?

Hi @MikeT
Same problem if I click on the URL in the 1Password app.Maybe this is a important information: If I click on the url (or also if I load it with the LaunchBar), then the Browser is loading with an url like https://www.tumblr.com/login?onepasswdfill=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (normal there is a number instead of 'x')
But before the website is full loaded the browser is loading the website https://www.tumblr.com/login very fast again.
I have the chrome extension 4.2.5.90 and the Firefox extension 4.2.5.
The only think what I have changed on my system in the last days is, that I deleted the Adobe Flash Player.

Hi @MikeT
I did some tests and I can say for- gmx.at
- getpocket.com
- runtastic.com
- tumblr.com
it is working (same way as vimeo.com) if I use LaunchBar or the fill function of 1P but only after a reload of the website. So after loading of the website I have to click on the browser reload button. After the reload the fill and send is working in the next moment automatically.

@littlebobbytables is correct, @Philipp. It is a known issue at the moment, but it's on our to-do list! We're currently working on a major improvement to our extensions' filling logic, but I'm hopeful we'll be able to tackle this issue soon after that's complete.
Thanks for the report!

Thanks you very much for your both feedback. So I can stop to search on my system for a fix.

Sure thing, Philipp. We believe the issue only exists in Google Chrome, though, so if Safari or Firefox is an option, using one of those instead would be a workaround. But yes, we'll look into this.

Just want to add my +1
I was going nuts, disabling extensions, removing additional users, installing 1P beta extensions - then I came across this.
Safari works fine (but I miss all my other Chrome extensions)

Hopefully we can get it resolved so you can return to your favourite browser. Are there a lot of extensions only available for Chrome?
