Can you explain your questions a little more, please, if you don't mind?
Is this a new account with a different password? Do I sign in with a new password.
Have you used 1Password before or is this the first time? If you've used it before what version did you use and did you sync 1P data with any iOS device (phone or iPad)?
There is a very good knowledge base article here on running 1Password for the first time which may help you.
If you have more questions or if I've not properly understood your questions please post again.

Hi. I have been using 1pass for iPad for about a month now, free version, and then upgraded to the pro. I just bought the app for my MacBook Pro. The getting start page says I'm a new user if haven't used it on my Mac. Am i to use the iOS password (master) in the new user window. I looked at a guide but it just wasn't clear to me.

The first time I used the "I've used 1password before" window and showed different methods of syncing. But nothing opens up on the Mac.???

I think it will be helpful you have a little more information. Are you using 1P5 on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite)? Where did you buy your 1P: from the Mac App Store or direct from the AgileBits store?
Do you have any sync method set up yet on 1P for iOS? What version of 1P are you running on your iOS device (you can find it if you go to the Settings screen and look towards the bottom)?

Hi @1swimmer
I think it's safe to assume you want to keep the devices in sync so you have three options; Dropbox, iCloud or Wi-Fi Sync.
If you want to use Dropbox or iCloud you would set it up first on your iOS device and then point your Mac to it.
iCloud Sync
- It requires 1Password 5 on iOS device.
- It requires 1Password 5 (MAS) on your Mac. You're running the MAS version if you purchased 1Password 5 from Apple's Mac App Store (MAS).
- You would follow the Sync with iCloud (iOS) guide on your IOS device.
- You would then follow the Getting started again on a new computer guide on your Mac. If 1Password finds the iCloud data it may simply ask you for your Master Password and you're done.
Dropbox
- Similar to iCloud but has cross-platform support.
- It is not limited to just 1Password 5 but also works with 1Password 4 and 1Password 3 for Mac.
- Supports secondary vaults.
- You would follow the Sync with Dropbox guide on your IOS device. You will need a Dropbox account which you can get for free at https://www.dropbox.com and there is a Dropbox app for iOS devices simply titled Dropbox.
- You would then follow the Getting started again on a new computer guide on your Mac. If 1Password finds the Dropbox data it may simply ask you for your Master Password and you're done. You will need the Dropbox app for OS X which you can download from their site. You will need to do this before following the guide.
Wi-Fi Sync
- You would need to create a new vault in 1Password for Mac (we recommend using the same Master Password).
- You would then follow the Wi-Fi Sync guide. Don't worry, it won't wipe your iOS vault but instead will copy everything from your iOS device to your Mac.
If you have any questions regarding these choices or any of the steps do please let us know and we'll do our best to answer.

5.1.2 is my iOS version and the current download from the Mac store.
I'm going to follow the above steps when I get home today.
Thanx for the feedback thus far.0 -

Hi, I'm now having a couple of problems with my password.

To all,
Got it synced! I had changed my password (keyboard stroke consideration) and had to delete the original sync. Once I reloaded via iCloud it worked. Oh yah, if I had turned iCloud Drive on yesterday it may have been a slicker ride.
