Sync
I am totally lost. I have used 1 password for years. Now cannot sync my devices and do not understand the directions. 1 password 5 for MAC. iPhone and iPad are not syncing. Do not understand whether to use iCloud or dropbox. Do not have option to sync to iCloud when I view the MAC app settings. Fearful of losing all of my passwords.

I'm sorry you're having issues with the sync. We'll be happy to help you set this up to get the sync back.
If you don't see iCloud in the 1Password's Sync Preferences on your Mac, that means you bought 1Password from our web store and not the Mac App Store. iCloud sync is only allowed for copies sold at the Mac App Store.
With your setup, you can only use either Dropbox or Wi-Fi. Can you tell us if you want Dropbox or Wi-Fi sync? You can find out more information in our user guide here: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-mac/5/en/topic/sync
You won't lose your data, 1Password on your Mac is set up to back up your data daily if there are changes made and your sync data is also stored separately from the app's main database in the event the sync breaks.
