1Password 5 Mac not updating what 1Password 4 Windows and 1Password iOS [Resolved]

1Password 4 for Windows syncs via Dropbox with iPhone 6 version of 1Password with no problems what so ever which is odd because you would think that Mac and iPhone would sync better regardless of the mechanics in the middle but not in this case. I'm sure its because the 1Password that is installed from the App Store is 1Password 5 and the latest version of 1Password for Windows is version 4.

Everything works except 1Password 5 on my Mac isn't pulling any updates from the Dropbox account that the iPhone version or Windows version entered.

Any suggestions?

Just confirmed that my iPhone, iPad (both running the 5.x versions) and Windows running the latest 4 versions all sync great together.. the only one that won't sync or pull updates is the Mac OS X 10.10 (1password version 5.x).

Try disabling Dropbox sync on your Mac and then re-enabling it and see if that helps. You may have to wait a while for the sync to complete if you have a lot of 1P items. There's no particular reason why 1P5 on the Mac should not sync via Dropbox with your other devices.

I tried that as well as completly removing 1Password and all associated files from my MacBook, cleaning permissions, rebooting, reinstalling from the App Store, selecting existing user and pointing to the 1Password vault found on my Dropbox that all the other devices are using. Results are the same.

It is able to pull some information but not all. (example: notes are added to a login entry from the windows version of 1Password, after days it still hasn't replicated over to the macbook version yet it has replicated just fine to the iOS devices (iPhone and iPad).. so weird. It has the login entry, just not the updated notes.

    Hi @djzah71‌

So you're saying that even after following our Starting Over guide that it still isn't showing all the information that exists on all of your other devices?

That is puzzling, especially if you're confident that Dropbox does indeed have all of the up to date files.

    1. What happens if you add a test item to one of your iOS devices and then your Windows machine, do they show up on your Mac?
    2. If they do what happens if you add a note to each via the same device (one iOS and one Windows), do those changes propagate?

If you can let us know the answers to these questions and we'll take it from there.

Ok, so I did as you said and created an new login from Windows and one from iOS (both with notes) and they both show up on the MacBook with 1Password 5. Not sure how or why but it appears everything is working at the moment. I did do a complete reinstall and the issue was still there but now the issue has cleared while testing... sorry I couldn't be of more help in figuring this out.
