Since I updated to Yosemite 10.10.2 1P can often not find the 1P mini app. And I cannot open 1P on the desktop. What to do?

Otto.

You have to download and install the newest version of 1Password (5.1), Otto. I just had to do that - I had the same problem you had, as well as a warning on the first startup after the 10.10.2 update that 1Password was not compatible. To avoid this issue, it would be best to update 1Password first, but I (and obviously you) didn't think to do that, not expecting it to not function at all in 10.10.2.

If you haven't yet implemented what is suggested please hold on until @MikeT from AgileBits chimes in—because he is very keen to isolate this error and might ask you for a diagnostic report. (Don't post any diagnostic report here but, if possible, wait to see what @MikeT says.)

  • Hi @ossynths,

Please send @MikeT a private message. I suspect you've run into an issue that we're gathering information about and he'll have instructions on how to get us the info we're after. He'll also have instructions for how to get you up and running again.
