Login Accts Disappearing

Just went to log in with an account and it no longer existed in 1P5. Had to generate a new one. Hope this one lasts.

When you post with such a general description, and so little detail, it's really difficult for us to get to the root of the problem, so please tell us:

1. what version of 1P you are using on your Mac (go to 1P > About 1Password and tell us exactly what it says there);
2. whether you sync your 1P data with any other device and, if so, what version of 1P you use on that other device and what method you use to sync your 1P data;
3. your OS X version number and the OS version number of any device with which you sync your 1P data.

In addition, if you do sync your 1P data is the "missing" item on the other device still? Have you checked your 1P Trash to see if it's there?

1P will not wilfully wander off and randomly delete your items so we really need to get to the bottom of the problem. Answers to those questions will help us do so.

Edit: after I typed all of this I discovered you're already discussing a very similar problem here with @chrisdj in the 1P for iOS forum. I think it would be less confusing if the discussion were kept to that thread.

Additional Problem: After generating a new password on my computer, I now have two different ones on my iPhone: the old one and the new one.

As Stephen_C suggests, we'll need a bit more detail here in order to trouble-shoot this. Is the issue that you are mentioning here related to the thread you posted in the iOS forums? It will be much simpler if we keep the conversation all in one place. So let's continue troubleshooting in that other thread, just to keep things all in one place. :)

This is a different issue. The information I gave is what I have: 1P5.1, to be more specific. Yosemite 10.10.2. No error codes,dialogue boxes, or other windows came up. Accounts are disappearing randomly, as are passwords on my MacBook Pro (Retina), but sometimes retained on my iPhone. If I am in the wrong forum, please tell me which one is appropriate. I will repost in "that other thread."

I believe the threads are related @dlm67 and are both connected to syncing. As you've posted the pertinent information in the other thread I suggest we keep the whole conversation there. That way we avoid the possibility of causing confusion or replicating effort.

I'm going to close this thread as the other seems more active but if needed we can open this one again.
