PRoblem with syncing from Iphone where I bought the app to my Imac

I installed 1password on my iphone5s but it is impossible for me to get it on my macbook.
After I installed the programme on my Imac, the programme asks if I'm a new user or if I already have an account.
Since I installed 1password on my iphone I chose the latter.
And then it asks to restore a back up or get the data from another device.
And there I get stuck.
What is the problem?

    As a user of 1Password for iOS and somebody wishing to use our application in their Mac too it would seem reasonable to assume that you want not just to transfer the items from your iPhone to your Mac on this one occasion but actually you will want the two devices to remain synchronised, is that a safe assumption to make?

    Now if you purchased 1Password for Mac direct from our store that would give you two options for syncing an iOS device with your Mac. You could use Dropbox or Wi-Fi Sync. Dropbox is automated and a little more set and forget than Wi-Fi Sync is but it depends on whether you have any issues with cloud services or not.

    If you purchased 1Password for Mac from Apple's Mac App Store (MAS) that would give you the two options above and one more, the option of syncing a primary vault via iCloud. As an Apple owner you already have iCloud but iCloud has more restrictions at the moment than Dropbox. All devices must be running 1Password 5 meaning they all have to be running either iOS 8 or Yosemite underneath.

    The general sequence of events for one of the cloud services will be that you would set up syncing on your iOS device first and then we'll get the Mac to find it. Wi-Fi Sync is slightly different from that but still relatively easy once you know what you're doing.

    So to best assist you we'd need an idea of what sync method you would like to use. If you want something simple and don't know where you purchased 1Password for Mac from (some of our customers genuinely don't remember) then Dropbox is the safe bet.
