Where are my logins?

Just put in a new HD in my Mac running Yosemite. When I try to open 1Password it thinks it is a new installation. I want to retrieve my dozens of logins but can't find them. Before the new HD, I updated 1PW and used it with Yosemite.

Please give us a little more information:

    1. What version of 1P do you have?
    2. Where is your old 1P data in general terms (Time Machine backup, other backup, iOS device, etc.)?

I hope you do have the data available somewhere.

Unlike some other password managers that store the data on their web servers, 1PW has its data entirely under your control. You may have chosen to keep it on Dropbox or iCloud, but otherwise it is purely local.

    Hi @macrls,

danco is quite correct. Certainly for myself but I believe for many of our customers, the fact that 1Password stores your vault locally unless you specifically set up syncing is considered a positive. I'm not overly keen on cloud services so I like the fact that with 1Password my vault is on my machine and doesn't go anywhere unless I say so.

Hopefully you still have your old drive or as Stephen_C asked, a Time Machine backup or as danco mentioned you set up syncing to Dropbox or iCloud.

Once we have a better idea of your situation we'll hopefully be able to guide you to a fully restored vault.

Assuming you still have your old drive all you would need is an adaptor or one of the HD enclosures you can purchase so you can hook the old drive up to your Mac and pull off the data files you need.
