First time user installing 1P ver 5 and Using current Op Sys, Yosemite with older ver IOS (7 )

As a NEW USER installing 1P ver 5 on my Macbook Pro running Yosemite, will we enjoy seamless operations with my older Iphone 4S and Ipad 2 running IOS 7? It seems that there is some discussion that this may not work for newbies; however, for those who have had earlier versions of 1Password and upgrade seem to be able to keep the older installation as needed.
Please advise.

    Hi @MacMan1,

There is one area where compatibility is an issue and it is with iCloud Sync support. You won't be able to sync your devices as iCloud changed between iOS 7 & 8, meaning you either run 1Password 4 everywhere or just 1Password 5. Now Dropbox does not have this issue so there is still one cloud service you can sync with regardless.

Now the tricky part is downloading the older version of 1Password for iOS but it's doable. Download 1Password 5 in iTunes on your Yosemite machine, obviously using the same Apple ID as used on your iOS devices. Then download 1Password for iOS via the App Store app on your iOS device - don't use iTunes to copy it across. You should find 1Password is in the Purchased section in the Updates tab on the iPhone and simply in the Purchased tab on the iPad of that app. When you download there it will realise you can't run 1Password 5 for iOS and instead ask if you wish to download 1Password 4 for iOS instead.

At that point you can sync all the devices using Dropbox.

If you have any questions regarding any of this please do let us know.
