1Password on new mac deleted most of my logins on 1st Dropbox sync - how to recover?
I installed 1Password 5 on new Mac Mini I am setting up. It initially asked if I wanted to sync with the iCloud. I mistakenly said yes, and it synced with a copy of 1Password stuff in the Apple iCloud, I don't know where it is stored, but it was over a year out of date. I quit for the night, this morning it seemed to be saying that it wasn't allowed to sync with iCloud, and on the Preferences Sync it said it was syncing with None. I then tried to figure out how to sync it with my actual Dropbox sync content that was up to date. If I just started to enable syncing, it said it was going to merge my current contents and the dropbox contents, and I did not want that, it could create a mess of outdated stuff. So I did not do that. I briefly tried to create a new clean Vault and switch to it, but it thinks the Primary vault is special and will not allow me to delete it, so I ended up deleting the second vault I had created. I then made sure my Vault was disconnected from syncing, and deleted everything in it, by selecting it and putting it in the trash. I then enabled syncing with Dropbox content, and confirmed merging my empty vault with the dropbox content. It then proceeded to leave me with 115 login entries, instead of the 627 login entries I had in Dropbox before I merged. When I started 1Password on my MacBook Pro, it proceeded to sync with Dropbox and delete entries from 627 down to 115.
I've put my iPhone6 into airplane mode and it still has a copy of my 627 login entries, but I don't know how to recover into the Dropbox sync copy, particularly while I am in Airplane mode. I thought about trying to restore the files in Dropbox, but since every login is a separate file, I don't see any practical way to do that...
Help! Please advice me on what has happened, what did I do wrong, and how can I get my login data back and working again?
Thanks, Robert

Okay, after I calmed down, I noticed there is a Restore command on the File menu on the Mac version, and it is frequently saving a backup. So I restored from a backup before the disaster, and curiously had to re-enable sync with Dropbox, just established a new file to sync with in Dropbox, and am switching all my devices to sync with the new Dropbox location. So it was scary but recoverable. Regards, Robert

Hi Robert ( @rwellscs ),
Wow. Sounds like you've had quite the "adventure" upgrading! I'm so sorry that we weren't able to get here in time to be helpful.
But it's great to hear that you were able to get things sorted out, eventually.
I sincerely hope that 1Password works perfectly for you from now on, but if you have any further questions, or hit any snags, we're here for you.
