Thanks for writing in. Unfortunately Wi-Fi sync between two Macs is not supported. Currently the Mac can only act as a Wi-Fi sync server to iOS devices, and it doesn't know how to talk to another server. To sync between Macs you'll need to use one of the other sync methods, such as iCloud or Dropbox, or a Folder sync.

thanks! Is there any reason to use ICloud rather than Dropbox, or are they equally safe and easy?

Most of us here at AgileBits use Dropbox. It is personal preference, really, but Dropbox does support the 1PasswordAnywhere feature where iCloud does not:

oh never mind, I didn't get Agile bits from the Mac App store, so I can't use ICloud. I'll figure out how to use Dropbox. Thank you for your help.
