Cannot mount 1PW on 2 separate partitions on same MBP

For testing purposes I have partitioned the SSD of my 2012 MBP Retina and mounted the beta version of OSC 10.10.3 on 2nd partition. I tried to mount iPW on both partitions, however, was able to install it on only one. Once 1PW on one partition it cannot be installed on the second. Please let me know what to do. Thanks.

    Hi @klaushuber,

We might need a little more detail. When you tried to install it to the second partition, had you loaded up the OS X beta and were trying to install from there or were you trying to copy it to the second partition from the first?

If you installed a brand new copy of OS X I would expect the permissions in the two filesystems to mean you couldn't easily copy files between the two. One partition knows about your test account and the test account can write to there but your real account won't be recognised as somebody that should be writing and even reading that file system.

    What happens if you

    1. Install 1Password into the 10.10.2 partition when 10.10.2 is running and you're logged in as that user.
    2. Install 1Password into the 10.10.3 partition when 10.10.3 is running and you're logged in as that user.

If you're having troubles with that then yes, something seems odd.

If that's confusing at all I apologise and I can try explaining another way if need be.
