Can I download and use 1Password 5 for Mac if I use Dropbox sync and am running OSX 10.9.5?

No, you need 1PW4 on 10.9.5. It's available from towards the bottom of the downloads page, and the same license file works for 1PW5 and 1PW4, so just buy and apply the 1PW5 license. Dropbox sync will be fine.

    Hi @smarty2015,

I hope that @danco's response has helped you out here - he's spot on. You can find 1Password 4 in the 'Legacy' section of our downloads page.

Please let me know if you have any questions about how to apply the license file - we're here to help!

Thanks. Very helpful. I already have 1PW4. Was just wondering if I could upgrade since I'm not using iCloud.

iCloud is not your issue. You'll have to wait till you are using Yosemite to move to 1PW5, and then (since you have 1PW4) the upgrade is free.

@smarty2015, @danco: That is correct. 1Password 5 for Mac requires OS X Yosemite.

Along those same lines, iCloud Sync requires 1Password 5 since it uses Apple's Yosemite (and Mac App Store)-only CloudKit API. And if you're not worried about iCloud, just know that both 1Password 4 and 5 support Dropbox and WiFi Sync. I hope this helps! :)
