Newbie 2 Questions
I use a Mac at home and Windows at work. Have Safari extension loaded at home. I have created a login for hotmail (outlook) however when I try to send an email through Filemaker it won't send. Not sure how to set Outlook up. When I send through outlook directly it works fine. Question 2. What is the best way to send an email thru outlook on the PC at work. At the moment I copy and paste the password from a flash drive. Should I not be using the Safari extension and just do everything thru Dropbox?

Hi @Johnw54,
Sorry for any confusion about this! To answer your questions:
I have created a login for hotmail (outlook) however when I try to send an email through Filemaker it won't send. Not sure how to set Outlook up. When I send through outlook directly it works fine.
I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you're asking. 1Password doesn't have anything to do with sending an email through Filemaker, or setting up Outlook. It sounds like you created a Login item in 1Password that stores your username and password for your Hotmail account - are you trying to enter your Hotmail login credentials in Filemaker or Outlook? 1Password can fill login forms on websites if you have the 1Password extension installed in your browser, but it doesn't integrate with other apps the same way. You'll need to copy & paste information from 1Password into apps such as Filemaker or Outlook.
Question 2. What is the best way to send an email thru outlook on the PC at work.
This sounds like another question about how to use Outlook, which doesn't involve 1Password at all (except that you may have stored your Hotmail login credentials in a Login item in 1Password). Can you please elaborate on what you're trying to do with 1Password?
At the moment I copy and paste the password from a flash drive. Should I not be using the Safari extension and just do everything thru Dropbox?
Do you mean you have a text file on a flash drive where you keep a password? I would suggest keeping the password in 1Password instead. The 1Password extension in Safari allows you to fill your username & password on a website, using data you've added to the 1Password app. For help to install the 1Password extension in Safari on your Mac, please take a look at these steps. Or if you need help to save a new Login item in 1Password from the extension in Safari, you can find information on this page.
Dropbox doesn't really have anything to do with saving or filling login information on a website. Instead, Dropbox can be used to sync your 1Password data between different computers/devices. If you need help to set up Dropbox sync on Mac and Windows, you can find steps at these links:
I hope that helps, but please let us know if I misunderstood your questions. We're always happy to help! :)
