I'm tired of duplicates

Why is 1Password unable to detect it is about to create a duplicate and do something about it? Are you going to fix this problem or at least once and for all tell us there is no solution? What is the problem?

    When I'm on a site in respect of which I have a saved login and I change my password 1P prompts me asking if I want to update the login. As a result of that I'm not sure I understand your question, so it would be helpful to tell us:

    1. what version of 1P you are using (go to 1P > About 1Password and tell us exactly what it says there);
    2. what browser you're using and the version number of the 1P extension in the browser;
    3. exactly what you do which provokes 1P to create a duplicate item instead of prompting you to update an existing item.

    Hi @sivan,

    As Stephen mentioned, it will be helpful for us if you could elaborate on the problem and give some more details about the duplicates. For example, are you seeing duplicates of Login items, or other items? Are you being asked to save a new Login item when you log into a website, but you already have a Login item for that site? (And if so, are you choosing the option to save a new Login each time you're prompted to do so?) Or is this a problem where you seem to have some duplicate items after syncing with another device? If you can give us some more information about that (including the details Stephen asked for) we should have a better idea of how to help you solve this. Thanks in advance!
