Had to restore my user Library
Now 1PW 5 is empty, my Master pw doesnʻt work.
Restoring from backup takes me to todayʻs EMPTY backup located in the older 1PW4 folder.
Backups in the 1PW folder for 1PW 5.3, are good full backups, but unrecognizable to be restored. Selecting a backup in that folder does nothing. Canʻt even Select it, the Restore button never comes LIVE.
NOW WHAT?

Hi @bmartin,
I would like to apologize for the delay in responding to you here but we experienced a surge in support requests recently. We're doing the best we can to get back to our usual speedy replies as soon as possible.
I'm not quite sure what you're referring to about the backup folder for 1Password 5.3. 1Password 4 and 1Password 5 use the same folder in Application Support. Could you give me a bit more detail about what happened here?
- Do you have 1Password synced to the cloud or any other devices?
- When you opened 1Password after restoring your drive, did it prompt you to unlock, or provide you with the new user screen?
There are a couple of files I'd like you to check for as well:
Your Data Folder
- If you purchased from the Mac App Store:
~/Library/Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper/Data/Library/Data/OnePassword.sqlite
- If you purchased from the AgileBits Store:
~/Library/Application Support/1Password\ 4/Data/OnePassword.sqlite
Backups
- Mac App Store:
~/Library/Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper/Data/Library/Backups
- AgileBits Store:
~/Library/Application Support/1Password 4/Backups
Please let me know if the datafile is where it is supposed to be.

I DID manage to get back into 1PW, but many of my passwords were missing and I had to change passwords on several websites. Everything is working now, but PITA. (my fault as it turned out. No more BookDog for me!) I DID have two different folders for 1PW in ~/library/application support.... one was named 1Password 4, the other named 1Password.
But I finally worked through it.
Thanks.
