I have allowed cookies. Do I first visit wells fargo then try the safari extension, if so how? Very cumbersome, everything I try fails or sends me back to my vault and I have to enter my password. then only limited 1password id/card/login.

  • Hi @dajhnsn,

Wells Fargo has not yet added 1Password support to their app, so the only way to login to the app would be to copy and paste your credentials from 1Password into Wells Fargo.

You can see what apps have added support here:

    https://blog.agilebits.com/1password-apps/

If you want to login to the Wells Fargo website, you can do that. Please see this guide on saving a login:

    https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-ios/5/en/topic/create-login

(this can also be done directly in the Safari extension: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-ios/5/en/topic/create-new-login-safari )

Then you can use the Safari extension to fill the saved login into the Wells Fargo website:

    https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-ios/5/en/topic/fill-items-safari

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

    Ben

I have Wells Fargo banking and financial services. I use 1P 5.2.1 for auto-submitting - gave up on the goofy 5.3 version - my username and password to access to my account contents. The secret or no secret is to eschew the bank's own app. Instead, create and use a 1P login profile with the said bank's URL: online.wellsfargo.com. This method has worked on either my iPad or iPhone since I started using 1P 4.0. Try it.

@Lymond: That is indeed a workaround for now, until WellsFargo are able to update their app to allow pasting again.

I haven't used it myself, but many bank apps are just WebView wrappers that just display the actual website anyway, so sometimes you don't lose much by just using Safari. Cheers! :)
