Sync set to none [resolved, moved to email]
I have 1password (latest version) on 2 iPhones (ios 8.3) 2 macs (OS X 10.10.3), 2 iPads (iOS 8.3) and a windows laptop. I was using the single default vault but then a couple of days ago I set up a secondary vault for my wife with an imported copy of the primary vault. She went into her vault and cleaned out the millions of passwords that were confusing her, leaving only the few that she uses. We synced all vaults with my Dropbox account (we have only one dropbox account). Now, in the Dropbox folder there is, instead of a "1passwordagilebits" vault file, there is a folder called "1password", my primary vault is gone, my wife's truncated vault is the only file in the 1password dropbox folder (I have made several copies of the backups folder all over the place so my data is not in danger), and all the devices have sync set to 'none'.
This is extremely frustrating. Why did all my primary vaults disappear?
Thank you.

Hi Ken ( @kmsarno2),
We're sorry to hear of your frustration. This does sound like a potentially complicated case, so I'd like to ask you to create a couple Diagnostics Reports so we can take a closer look at what's going on. You didn't mention which device your wife was using when she deleted the logins, but it would be helpful if you could create one Diagnostics Report from that computer/device, and one from, say, one of the Macs, and send them to us for analysis.
Please follow the steps for the appropriate platform here, and then attach the entire file to an email to us at
support+forums@agilebits.com
.Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can quickly track down the Report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

Hi Vee, I got your message and I believe I'm all set now...all mobile devices already had pro features, all devices now syncing with the appropriate vault in Dropbox. I'm still not sure what went wrong. All I know is that, on my Mac computers, before I created an alternate vault, the primary vault had NOT initially been created in a "/Users/kens/Dropbox/1Password" folder...it was just sitting there as a .agilekeychain file in the top level of the Dropbox folder. The 1Password folder seems to have come into being only after creating the secondary vault....and that's all it contained, the secondary vault. My primary vault was still somewhere on the machine, but it was in a non-sync state and I don't know exactly where that's kept. It would appear that the act of creating the secondary vault created a 1Password folder in the Dropbox folder, but deleted the default vault file that had been in the Dropbox folder till then. Probably just some weird form of pilot error rather than a bug.
When I set my mac up to sync with Dropbox again, then up came a dialog that said "1password will make a copy of your primary vault in the Dropbox folder", and so it did...the /Users....Dropbox/1Password folder now contained both vaults, and since then I have been able to sync everything fine after going through some more sync setup on the mobile devices.
I still have both a "1Password 4" and a "1Password" folder in my ~/Library/Application Support folder, and I'm not sure why that is, but it doesn't seem to be hurting anything.

Hi @ksarno,
I'm glad sync is working well for you now! I see that you posted here in addition to responding to my email, so to keep our lines from getting tangled, we can continue this conversation via email. I'll send you a follow-up there shortly. Thanks!
