AgileBits Update: It appears this issue can be resolved by plugging your device into power, or turning off low power mode.

Just upgraded to ios9 and 1Password 6. When trying to sync with my iCloud data, it gets stuck at "looking up icloud information" I went through the steps on my iOS devices and my Mac devices to remove the existing iCloud data and it is still stuck in this state.

WIFI sync works fine, but I can't get it to Sync to the iCloud

Two weeks ago I upgraded my iPhone 6+ to iOS 8.4 using iTune backup/restore. I also sync'ed an backup to iCloud as well. At the time I didn't reinstall 1Password immediately after restore.

I reinstall 1Password today but upon Sync from Existing Vault via iCloud it is stuck at "Looking for iCloud information..." forever. I've waited 15mins+, restart iPhone, making sure going into iCloud settings so I am signed in correctly. Repeat this process several time and no luck. I check under my iCloud backup dated Aug 15 and it clearly has the 1Password backup (30kb) under document & data.

    please help

  • HI @civic5zigen,

I'm not entirely clear from your post as to if you setup iCloud syncing in 1Password prior to reinstalling, or if you simply made an iCloud backup of your device. Could you please elaborate?

By default your 1Password data is stored only on your device, and by design that data is never sent anywhere unless you explicitly tell 1Password to do so (either by setting up syncing, or making an iTunes backup).

    Thanks!

    Ben

My 1password was sync'ed to iCloud backup in addition to also full iPhone backup via iTune just prior to iOS "clean" upgrade. I end up restoring from iTune backup as it was more convenient at the time. What I did differently this time comparing to all my previous iOS upgrade was that I didn't immediately reinstall 1Password until today (2 weeks later). When I finally install 1Password today and attempt to sync via iCloud it just get stuck at "Loading iCloud information...". I can clearly see my iCloud's last backup was exactly 2 weeks ago and still has the 1Password backup under document & data.

I am throwing in the towel. In attempts to resolve this problem I've done numerous restarting, reinstalling, re-signin to iCloud and etc. In the process I accidentally initiate an new backup to iCloud just now which effectively overwrites my backup from 2 weeks ago. So my only backup of 1Password data is lost forever.

I am uninstalling 1Password after being user of 1+ years and switching to something else perhaps Apple keychain. I recoken this may not be AgileBits problem and could very well be Apple. Unfortunately, the fact of reality is I found it much safer to use an native program to stored my critical information with better compatibility and less heart attacks.

I haven't used my iPad air in 5 weeks. Just updated to iOS 9 today and attempted to sync, but it failed to sync and update the logins. So I unistalled the app, logged out of icloud, then restarted the iPad and began the 1Password setup all over again. The problem now is that while it did sync a new login I had created (on the newly updated iPad air) across all my iOS devices, the sync menu keeps on syncing and says the last sync was never. Is this okay?

Now I'm having problems syncing newly created secure notes across devices.

Correction: notes do sync across devices. The problem seems to be that since the sync now button is constantly showing a status of syncing, I have to close the app and relaunch it to sync across devices. So, how do I get rid of the sync hang that occurs after I launch the app?

1Password cannot find my iCloud data on my iPhone.

iPad and Mac are all good.

Disabling iCloud sync and deleting data has not fixed the issue.

Reinstalling 1Password has not fixed the problem either.

Turning off iCloud on my iPhone also did not solve the problem.

Sale issue here. Both apps updated to latest version on iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2. No problem on iPad but impossible to sync and find the iCloud Datas on iPhone. Already tried an iCloud reset within app and globally. No way.

Yep, happens here as well. iPhone is able to sync (it was upgraded from iOS 9 beta to GM), but iPad (clean install of iOS 9) can't load the data from iCloud.

Tried disabling sync on all devices and then deleted iCloud data from OS X El Capitan 1Password, and then tried to turn sync on from a device that still had the database, as recommended by Agile Bits. No go.

Le sigh...Seems this happens for every 1P release, surely this is something that can be tested?

Works for me on my iPhone now. Not sure if it's a fluke or not, but I just just opened a couple of apps that use iCloud like Mail and Calendar. After those apps refreshed I went back to the 1Password app and this time it found my iCloud data. Prior to that I disabled and re-enabled Cellular Data but that didn't appear to do anything.

The same as well. I have even tried deleting my iCloud data using my iPad and recreating the vault using the iPhone. But when it goes to configure iCloud it hangs on the configuring screen. The odd part is that I have had no issue after multiple deletions of getting my iPad to sync, just my iPhone...

My issue has now spread to my MAC devices running OS X 10.10.5! Both devices are asking me to enable iCloud even though iCloud drive is enabled on both..

Quick update. I got one of my ios 9 devices to start syncing to iCloud. Under 1Password, I went to settings -> Advanced and chose to delete the iCloud data. Then the data on that ios 9 device started to sync no problem. However, when I erase all data and settings on the other ios device and try to sync with iCloud it hangs on the "looking up icloud information"

On the OS X 10.10.5 systems, now they both see the iCloud data and claim to start syncing, but the sync method still shows "NONE"

So in effect, I've gone one device syncing and three not

    Same problem. Tried the following:
    1) Signing out of iCloud and then back in - no change
    2) Removed app and reinstalled - no change
    3) Toggled iCloud Drive - no change
    4) Toggled 1Password in iCloud Drive - no change

I switched over to dropbox sync for now because iCloud sync isn't functioning properly. Would like to be able to use iCloud as I was before.. Waiting for AgileBits to respond and see what ideas they have.

    Hi @ReyRodriguez,

It's tough to say what is going on without taking a look at your logs. I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:

    https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.html

Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

A short note here once you've sent the Report in will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
