Backup failed

Hi,
I'm using 1password for about 5 years already but I've just updated to the newest version (version 5) and I'm receiving a pop up on the top right of my screen saying (translation for french to english): 'Backup failed' 1password didn't manage to create a backup: Error Domain=N..."

What is the reason for that? Is it because I'm still using the 30 days trial version?

Thanks for your help!

    Hi @matt_sm,

I'm sorry you're getting that error about backups! It's not related to the trial mode, as that should be fully functional for 30 days.

You may be able to solve the problem by restarting 1Password mini. From the main 1Password app, go to Help > Troubleshooting > Restart 1Password mini. Once you do that, unlock 1Password and go to File > Backup. Does that work now, or do you get another error message? Please let us know how it goes, thanks!

Hi. It looks like I have the same problem - but restarting 1Password mini doesn't help. My error message is "1Password failed to create a backup : Error Domain=com.agilebits.onepa... (the rest I can't read or expand). Any ideas?? Thanks. I'm using 1P version 6 on El Capitan.

    Hi @JemClark ,

Let’s take a closer look at your system to see if we can determine where things are getting tangled up.

I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your Mac:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)

Attach the Diagnostics Report(s) to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report(s) in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report(s) in our inbox.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report(s) and ensure that this issue is dealt with quickly. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!
