The login screen when setting up icloud sync for 1password is a bit confusing. Although it says to log into your 1password account it actually needs your apple id credentials. Shame on me for not noticing the Apple ID prompt in the username field, but I was reading the larger main text on the screen.

    Hi @bbates7995,

    Thanks for writing in. Unfortunately we have no control over that login screen as it's entirely controlled by Apple. I really wish we could make it more obvious. Maybe we'll file an enhancement request with Apple about it.
