How to switch to family only

Hi,

I'm happy for years with 1password and I'm glad you mad the family offer.

I just have a question on how to switch totally to family:

  • I was using for Mac with dropbox sync
  • I've transferred all my pass to the personal vault of family
  • I want to be on Family only
  • How can I delete the Safe from "for Mac" and use only the Family Vaults
  • When I am unlocking 1password I'am obliged to use my old master password

    Hi @GeckoSplinter,

    Thanks for being a 1Password user for so long!

    Sorry for the confusion! There's currently no way to delete a Primary vault from 1Password. You'll need to start over if you want to get rid of all remnants of the Primary vault. Here's how:

    Start over with an empty vault in 1Password

    Then you'll just need to set up your Families account again :) You'll be able to unlock 1Password for Mac with your Families account Master Password.

    I was missing this part when trying to reset :

    The AgileBits Store version of 1Password will automatically import data from the Mac App Store version if you ever had it installed. > Ensure these data files are cleaned up by using Finder once again, choose Go > Go to Folder, and go to: ~/Library/Containers
