For the past few days the "1Password-2safariextz" file has been automatically placed in my dock's trash bin. I did not initiate the deletion of the referenced file. I am concerned, is everything OK. I have been using 1Password for two years on a daily basis( I love the APP) and have never seen any 1password files placed into the dock's trash bin before. Would you please briefly explain the necessitation of the file deletion.
Thanks
Mike

    @michael_snapinn

    The "-2" could to indicate a possible duplicate download. As the extension is usually named 1Password.safariextz I would guess you may have a clean up app that removes duplicate downloads and places them in the trash
    Or
    The Safari browser extension was auto updated. Its possible you saw one of the auto updates. When the update occurs the old copy of the file is placed in the trash.

    Thanks for the quick and fully detailed response to my question regarding the update of the 1Password safari extension.
    I used the links provided and now have a complete understanding of the way in which the safari extension updates and deletes the previous version.
    Thanks, again
