My situation is a bit more complicated than in the provided articles.
Have a Macbook pro (10.6.8) and 1Password 3 installed and running perfectly.
Safari and Chrome stopped supporting the browser extensions and Chrome just disabled the extension.
Safari still works.
I'd like to upgrade my OS to El Capitan, but afraid to loose all my data in 1Password.
Can someone tell how to safely upgrade to the latest OS and the latest 1Password.
Thank You in advance for any help!
Katalin Fekete

Mac OS 10.6.8
1Password 3.8.22 (32010)

    Hi @fkatalin,

I'm glad to hear you want to upgrade to 1Password 6, I think you'll enjoy using all the new things it has to offer! Once you've upgraded to the new OS you'll be able to install 1Password 6. Keep in mind that this is a payed upgrade, but you get a very nice discount, just type your license here to see it: https://agilebits.com/store.

This article will help you through the process of upgrading 1Password: https://support.1password.com/upgrade-mac/ . Your information will be migrated and you'll be ready to use it in no time!

Please let us know how this goes and if there's anything else we can help you with! :chuffed:

    Dear Pilar,
I need 1password on my iPhone 6 (ios 9.3.1), and on my iPad (ios 9.3.1)!
is there a package that would have all 3 licenses in it?
    Thank You,
    Katalin

    Hi Katalin ( @fkatalin),

You have a couple of options to use 1Password in all your devices! The first one would be to get a subscription to 1Password Families. The most recent version of the app for all platforms is included, you never have to worry about syncing again and you can use it and share information with up to four other members of your family! You can read all about 1Password families here: https://blog.agilebits.com/2016/02/16/introducing-1password-for-families/.

If you're not convinced about 1Password Families, you can get the upgrade for your Mac and use the basic version of iOS for free. You can sync your data via iCloud or Dropbox between the three devices. If you'd like to get the Pro features for iOS you only need to get them once and it will work in both your iPad and your iPhone.

Please let us know if you have any other questions! :chuffed:
