1Password icon not working since last Mac service pack update

Dear agile bits team,
ever since I installed the latest service pack on my macbook in mid May, I cannot access the 1Password app from the launchpad. Where the 1Password icon used to be, there is now an empty square with a dotted line around it. Below the icon, it says “Paused”. Interestingly, the quick access icon on the top bar still works.
I have restarted my laptop a number of times, but the problem remains. Please let me know what I can do to fix this.
Thanks and greetings from Berlin,
Nicole

@nic_ole: It sounds like you purchased 1Password from the Mac App Store. Is that correct? If so, 1Password unfortunately doesn't have any control over the installation/update process, as this is handled solely by the App Store. However, you may be able to get it working again by installing a fresh copy. Just drag 1Password from the Applications folder to the Trash (do NOT use a "cleaner" app!), restart your Mac, and then install 1Password again from your App Store purchase history. Please let me know how it turns out! :)
