WLAN Server not working - Mac doesn't show up on iOS devices

hello,
i use on my mac (10.11.6) and iPhone 5 and iPad Air2 the newest versions of 1Pwd. Some days I could sync between all devices via Wlan.
But now the mobile devices find no 1Pwd-Server (Mac) anymore.
I deinstalled 1Pwd on my iPhone, reinstalled but still the same empty "list".
Maybe it is connected to the 1Pwd-Accounts. I tried it and decided to switch back to Wlan. SO I deinstalled, deactivated the account-stuff on all devices, the iPhone uses the private "tresor" again.
Same Wlan! Well, all like before when it worked!
How can I get back the Wlan sync?
Thanks
Claus

    Hi @claus,

I'm sorry you're having trouble with the WLAN Server option!

It sounds like you tried a 1Password.com account, but then decided to go back to syncing your local 'Primary' vault via WLAN Server. Did the problem with WLAN Server start before or after you tried the 1Password.com account?

In the main 1Password app on your Mac, please go to 1Password > Preferences from the menubar and select the WLAN Server tab. Is there a check mark next to the WLAN Server setting? If not, you'll need to enable that.

Once that option is enabled, make sure 1Password is still open & unlocked on your Mac, and then open 1Password on your iPhone or iPad and try again to sync with WLAN Server. If it still doesn't find your Mac, and assuming your Mac and iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, here are a few more suggestions which might help:

    • Disable the WLAN Server option on your Mac, then re-enable it and try again.
    • Reboot the Mac and each iOS device and try again.
    • Restart your router and try again.

If it still won't work, we have more troubleshooting steps here: If you're having trouble using the WLAN server

Does any of that help? Please let us know how it all goes, thanks! :)

    Thank you for the answer.
I did all this before but no changes.
The only thing that worked today is that 1Pwd sync on my iPad works without any problems.
Only the sync with the iPhone makes troubles. I deinstalled an reinstalled 1Pwd again but the list of Wlan servers stays empty.
I created a new "tresor" on the iPhone, deleted all data again. But still no server.
1Pwd Mac is open, and sync with iPad works.
I guess it started after trying to use the account thing (only on the iPhone to test, not on the iPad), but I am not sure ...

@claus: If it's working on the iPad and Mac, and you've already reinstalled 1Password on the iPhone, it sounds like there may be something wrong with the iPhone itself. Since it isn't able to see the server, it sounds like it's probably networking related. Have you tried deleting the connection and connecting to the network again?

However, you may want to consider a 1Password subscription, since it will give you access to all of the apps, the web interface, and does away with license management and sync configuration altogether — you simply login to your account to authorize a device and access your data:

    1Password.com

WLAN Server depends heavily on the network environment to sync data, so 1Password.com is a lot less configuration and fuss. Either way, we're happy to help though, so let us know what you find!

Hmm, I am at work now and use a different Wlan - but with the same problem! Strange, strange ...

@claus: Yeah, that really seems to point to the iPhone. It just doesn't make sense that it works only with your other devices. Do you have something setup differently on the iPhone in Settings maybe?

i checked it already. seems to be the same (network settings).
the only difference was that i tried the account-stuff on my iphone and not on the ipad!
what i see when choosing wlan on the main screen (ios, where you also can choose between dropbox and account...) that the following window pops up very quick without searching for any wlan server.

and after deciding not to continue with the account modus i switched back to the tresor.
sometime after this i wanted to do a sync but without finding the wlan server.
well, it is possible that sync was not possible already before trying the account thing, not sure. but it could be the reason that it started after switching back to the tresor.
is it possible that on my mac is still the information that the iphone uses the account for sync or another info which does not accept the iphone?

    Hi @claus,

I'm sorry this continues to be a problem for you! Since the problem is happening on your iPhone, I've moved this discussion to our iOS forum. After doing that, I noticed you also emailed us for help with this issue, and Rick replied to ask you to send a diagnostics report (if you didn't receive his email, please make sure you check any junk folders/spam filters to see if it was caught there). Hopefully that will help us figure out the problem. We'll keep the conversation going directly via email to avoid creating any confusion between here and there. Thanks for your patience! :)
