I've been happily using 1Password on my Mac for many years.
Then today I went to set it up under my wife's user account, after encouraging her for months that she should be using it too. What a disappointment to find out that doing so would break the browser keyboard shortcut for both of us. We can still click the 1P button in Safari's toolbar and log in that way, but what a horrible bug that the keyboard shortcut would break. Not acceptable Agilebits, especially since coming here and finding out that this bug was originally reported a LONG time ago.
I expect this to be fixed with the next update and I expect that update to be available SOON!

Thank you for your feedback, statuser and Kir!
Fast User Switching is indeed a very handy feature. Multiple users are still completely supported without any trouble, the only problem is when (1) multiple users are logged in at the same time and (2) they both have the browser open. So two very simple workarounds for now are
- Log out of the first user account before logging in to another user account, or
- Quit Safari in the first user account before switching to another user account, or
- Use different browsers in each user account
As I mentioned above, WebSocket technology is still young, and browsers don't yet provide an easy way to differentiate between different user processes. We're looking at ways to do this without breaking other things in the process. :)
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with in the meantime.
Cheers!

I'm not sure I buy the argument about WebSocket technology. Whatever may or may not be happening in one user account should not affect what's happening in a different user account. That's been core to OS X since the beginning - user processes are always separate. Especially something like a keyboard shortcut breaking because another user has a browser open. How could this possibly happen?
If "WebSocket technology" allows one user to disrupt something another user is doing, then it is a serious security risk and should not be used.

Any update on a fix, khad? I don't know what "WebSocket technology" is, but as I said earlier; if one of its attributes is that it allows one user to disrupt what another user is doing, then I have serious concerns about its security. This kind of thing should never happen in OS X, least of all in a third party app that is supposed to be all about security in the first place. I'd seriously consider abandoning "WebSocket technology" if this is what happens with it. Hoping for an expecting an update/fix soon.
