How to handle airgapped transfer of certain files for 1Password on Windows

We don't know since this isn't something we test or do.
Maybe you accidentally format the usb drive before you copy to the laptop, losing the file. It's a lot of steps that if not carefully done, could result into something going wrong. We have to warn you in advance that this is just not something we recommend or support.
Since you have standalone version which does not require 1password account, you should have 30 day trial license too. that will resolve this issue correctly

Even if you have a license, we wouldn't recommend this either.
We simply cannot provide support for non-standard setups like this, almost no user should be doing this. 1Password is not designed for this purpose of air-gapped manual transfers.

well there is no complex transfer required if trial license is there. Install 1password on airgapped laptop using standard installer and create new local vault, update that vault and then save that vault wherever you want. does not look like anything non-standard. except, we don't have trial licenses.

Except for when you’re updating the vault on the other computer such as overwriting/replacing it. We can only support Folder Sync when it is from 1Password to the local drive but once we exceed that, we can’t provide support for it because it is out of our controls.
You can choose to do whatever you want with 1Password, we’re just saying that once it exceeds what 1Password does on its own, we have to warn that it is not supported/recommended by us.
We have no plans to provide free or trial licenses.
