    IE crashes occur due to problematic extensions. Disable all third party extensions installed in the web browser. Here are the required steps:

    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Click the Tools menu.
    3. Select Manage Add-Ons.

    Note: If you can't see the Tools menu, kindly press Alt key of your keyboard.

    Well, thanks, @JackChill420, but I'd add the suggestion to then re-enable your extensions, one at a time, until the problem reappears—then you'll know which one is the trouble-maker.

    @DBrown: Oh ok, I thought the user will re-enable it himself. That's why I didn't mentioned :P

    I'm glad you've found a general-purpose repair process that seems to work for you, @JackChill420. Thanks for sharing it!
