Retain selection after saving

I'm enjoying 1Password so far, but one thing has me concerned. Whenever I edit a login in the Windows client, after I click Save it goes to the first item under All Items. It would be nice for it to go back to the item that was saved.

  • Hi @dgilluly,

Thanks for reporting this. I'm not able to reproduce this.

Can you tell me the initial state where you started to edit, were you in the Logins category and if yes, are you sorting the Logins list by anything?

I'm sorting them by the default of by Title. It generally happens when I add a OTP onto an existing account, it goes back to the first item on the Logins screen right after I click Save.

  • Hi @dgilluly,

Thanks for that but I'm still seeing it remaining still. Here's the video of me doing this, let me know if I'm doing something different.

That's strange. Only thing I was doing different was scanning the screen for the barcode, which it seems to pick up fine.

  • Hi @dgilluly,

So, it is limited to the OTP field, if you modify anything else, it remains still?

Just uploaded a video here demonstrating the issue.

I think it has something to do with using a different view on the sidebar, other than login. (for example, Favorites) I just got it to do that with adding just a random text line.

    Hi @dgilluly,

Yes, that's a known glitch, which is why I asked about the initial state. If you are modifying or creating a category item while your sidebar selection is not of the said category, it will reset to that category. Meaning if you're in favorites, all items, tags, etc and you create/modify a Login item, it'll reset to Logins.

This will be fixed in a future update.

Ah, okay. Being new to the 1Password ecosystem and community I didn't know that team members knew about it already. Thanks for checking it out.

    Hi @dgilluly,

Thanks for reporting it anyway, we always want to hear your experience. We try to prioritize specific issues when there are a lot of people seeing the same issues.
