Was prompted to upgrade today. Like the Mac app, this has got worse.
My chief frustration has added steps in. Auto fill on websites require the pop up then the click to confirm, whereas 7 dropped...

That's exactly the sense that I keep running against.
Who is making these user experience decisions? Is it coders who spend every day -- day-in, day-out -- working on 1Password without regard to usability? Surely there is a product manager who looks at the UI/UX from the point of view of the average user who doesn't have the time to spend a week on a 1Password bootcamp to keep up with all of the confusing changes.
I want a password manager is that safe, secure, intuitive, dependable -- and doesn't require wasting time studying support documents that appear to be out of date, spending time in support forums (realizing that I'm not the only one frustrated by the product direction), and opening support tickets to deal with basic tasks like upgrading an app. 1Password used to be be these things but it's becoming less so with each "upgrade".
