1PW8 - Master password entry
From the browser extension it used to have the password entry field in that small form. Now instead it has a button to open 1Password where it then has a field to enter the master password. Why isn’t it in the small initial form anymore?

Apparently from what you are saying it is working as it should now. Liked it better the other way. More seamless and cleaner. I’d had 1PW8 since day 1. It wasn’t until this week it changed.

Hi more_cowbell, it's not entirely clear what might be going on here, but it's possible you've encountered an issue with browser integration. If you'd like us to follow up on that for you, we'd be happy to. Send a quick email to support+extensions@1Password.com (with a link to this discussion, for context), and our specialists will take a look at your setup and help determine whether everything is working as it should. 👍

Nope, I’m talking 1Password 8.

Hey more_cowbell:
When using Shared Lock State, unlocking both 1Password for Windows and 1Password in your browser has been always handled using 1Password for Windows. It sounds like you may have been using 1Password 7 previously, which had a smaller unlock window than 1Password 8 does. If this isn't the case, let me know and I'll be happy to investigate further.

They both unlocked from the smaller browser form just a few days ago??

Hi more_cowbell:
What you're seeing here is our Shared Lock State functionality. 1Password in the browser and the 1Password desktop app can communicate, and whenever the desktop app is unlocked, so is 1Password in the browser. This allows for the use of Windows Hello to unlock 1Password in the browser, as well as not locking when you close and reopen your browser. If you'd rather unlock 1Password in the browser and 1Password for Windows separately, follow these steps:
- Right click the 1Password extension icon in the top right corner of your browser and select "Settings".
- Turn off the "Integrate with 1Password app" option there.
- Confirm that 1Password in your browser now shows a password field
Let me know how you get on with these steps!

This is what I’m referring to. Previously the password field didn’t require opening another window.
