Add a photo of a credit card issue (Windows)

I want to add a photo of the front of my CC. I followed the instructions....Add More > Attach file > Select photo then click Open and there in my editing page is a new blue graphic box with a ink line pen within and the name of my CC.jpg. If I hover over it "Download " appears to be a selective action. Is the photo located on 1P servers along with my vault or is it just a link to where I have it stored on my PC ie its location is on a separate data back up drive.

  • Hello michaelwayne! 👋

Thanks for reaching out! You can attach an image to an item by following these steps:

    1. Open and unlock the 1Password for Windows app.
    2. Click on an item and then click Edit
    3. Click +add more and then click Attach a File.
    4. Select the file that you want to attach and click Open.
    5. Click Save.

1Password will add the file to the item and make it available on all devices where you're using 1Password. You can verify this by accessing the file from another device or from the browser when you log in to your 1Password account on [1Password.com](http://my.1password.com/) (in the browser, not the app).

Excellent ....almost there.......If I hover over it  "blue graphic box with a ink line pen" "Download " appears to be a selective action. Is the photo located on 1P servers along with my vault or is it just a link to where I have it stored on my PC ie its location is on a separate data back up drive.

      Thanks.

When you attach a file to an item and then save the item, 1Password will upload that item to your 1Password account:

If the file is very small, or your internet connection is very fast, then you might only see a flash of the "Uploading..." message before the upload is complete. Once the upload is complete you'll see the following:

The file is now saved to your 1Password account, it's not just a link to the local item. If you see something different from the screenshots that I posted then please post a screenshot of what you see and I can help further.
