Autofill not working on Windows or macOS
This is a pretty significant blunder, your "testing" didn't capture the fact that 50% of sites don't work on Autofill? Isn't this the entire sales pitch for the subscription model, continued development and TESTING, we're not your BETA testers and if I was, I would have caught the most basic of bugs with your core product functionality. Autofill is broken on Windows 8.12.5 as well, it's not just Macos (i use both).
I pay a premium for your product to avoid this stuff and because I rely on it. It's now taken me off my actual workflow for the past 2 hours while I screw around figuring out why I'm seeing sporadic behavior. Do better.

Thank you for confirming that you're seeing intermittent issues when trying to fill your login credentials into Google Search when using the latest versions of 1Password in Microsoft Edge and Safari.
I've done some testing and I haven't been able to reproduce this issue on my end nor have I seen other reports of filling issues on https://accounts.google.com/. So that the team and I can investigate, I'd like to ask you to create and share a 1Password diagnostics report from 1Password in your browser:
Send a diagnostics report (browser extension)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support@1password.com
With your email please include:
- A link to this thread: https://www.1password.community/discussions/1password/autofill-not-working-on-windows-or-macos/168291
- Your forum username: decanter
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!-Dave

You've also got a pretty good free alternative these days in Apple Passwords that's getting better by the day. It still lacks developer features that I require but it's going to be hard to justify $80 a vs free for those that don't need those features if this is the quality of releases people can expect.

What happens when a user of Apple Passwords is deceased? I do not believe that an Apple Legacy Contact is able to retrieve data stored in the Keychain.

Hello decanter! 👋
I'm sorry that autofill isn't working for you, I've split your post into a new thread since the other thread is focused on 1Password for Safari on iOS. There was an issue that only affected 1Password in the Safari browser on macOS which is now resolved with version 8.12.5 for macOS. If you're still seeing issues then it sounds like you might be in a situation that is unrelated to the issue fixed in that update.
So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:
- Which browser do you use on macOS? And which browser do you use on Windows? (Specifically the browser where you're seeing the autofill issue.)
- Can you provide one or two websites where you're seeing autofill issues? And what field specifically isn't filling?
- What version of 1Password in the browser are you using in each browser: Check version
I look forward to hearing from you.-Dave

Safari on macOS
Edge on Windows 11
Both fully patched, both running latest 1Password App (8.12.5)
8.12.4.46 is the extension version on Windows.
Websites are all over, logging into Google search, autofill won't work, then it will, then it won't. No rhyme or reason I can see, happens in a regular session and InPrivate.

You could have just written, "Also not working on Windows 8.12.5".

I could have... 1Password could also test their releases for the primary function people pay for before releasing it. Lot's of possibilities.
