Hello again HNofX82,
Thanks for getting back to us with these details about your auto start and shutdown of your device.
This device shutdown is causing 1Password for Windows to lock. When the device shuts down, the 1Password process is then exited and Windows Hello or your account password will then be required after that next start up and the app is relaunched. This is intended behaviour when the 1Password app is completely exited.
Rather than using an auto shutdown, have you considered putting your device to sleep on a similar schedule? This, with an adjustment to the auto-lock settings, would allow the 1Password app process to continue running in the background and only lock based your current settings:
* How to set 1Password to lock automaticallyThen Windows Hello or your account password would only be required when you restart or boot your device.
I hope these additional details help! Please let us know if you have any further questions.

My PC auto starts every morning around 3 to 5 am..and auto shut down after 2 am next day (if I'm not working)
I have to login to windows, then login to 1pwd, noticed after 10 to 12 hours password is required again for 1pwd
Will do needful as suggested above..

Hi HNofX82,
There are certain events where the expected behaviour is to lock 1Password. These events include, restarting your device, quitting 1Password for Windows, or updating 1Password for Windows.
However, you mentioned 1Password is still Auto-locking during daily use with the correct settings disabled. This is an interesting issue and I would love to investigate into this issue further.

Hi there HNofX82
You can set 1Password's auto-lock timer to Never, by following these steps:
- Click the 🔽 down arrow at the top of the sidebar and choose Settings.
- On the Security tab, set "Lock after the computer is idle for:" to Never.
- Turn off "Lock on sleep, screensaver, or switching users".
Then, for as long as 1Password is running, you won't have to unlock it. Make sure that 1Password is running in the system tray as well:
- In 1Password's Settings (see above), choose the General tab.
- Turn on "Keep 1Password in the system tray".
That way, even if you close the 1Password window, it'll still run in the system tray and will remain unlocked.
Hope that helps! :)
