Safari Extension Started Asking For Password For Every Auto Fill [SOLVED]

.
I've been using 1P8 for some time without any auto fill issues. All of a sudden today, the iOS Safari Extension started wanting me to manually enter my password for an auto fill anytime Safari was closed and re-opened. I've always had the "Authorize After" Safari Extension setting set to "1 Week".
I tried disabling the Safari Extension, rebooting the phone and reenabling the Safari Extension. I then tried disabling auto fill on both 1P8 and iOS settings, rebooting the phone and then reenabling. Neither of which worked. I ended up having to completely uninstall and reinstall of 1P8, which was annoying, and that worked.
Is there anything else that can be done if this happens again? Is this a known issue?

I recommend reverting to 1password 7 for iOS.

In the absence of an official forum response, I would like to see one. When will this confirmed problem be resolved? Thanks.

I can be patient waiting for faceid to be fixed in the extension, if it remains unlocked for the 2 weeks I have it set to but not adhering to that either is ridiculous (I also tried 1 week to no avail). Get yourselves together 1Password team, this is a massive disappointment.
Reinstalling 7 is the only fix I’ve found for now. Thanks for hegguardo for the quick link.

I’m experiencing the exact same issue on my iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 16.0.3.

Safari Extension Continually Asks for Password on iOS after a recent update. It requires typing in password with no option for Face ID. After a few minutes I have enter password again to to use the extension.
Can this be fixed to respect the timeout specified in Settings?

In the past week my safari extension no longer allows me to use FaceID to unlock it, and now often locks down, requiring me to type in my master password. It is configured (and even reinstalled) on the browser and in the iOS app settings to allow for this and enable a couple weeks between when I need to re-login but still doesn’t accept FaceID and locks down within minutes. Is this a bug on iOS 16 or something else? I am not having this problem on the app-side.

We've not forgotten you folks. We're trying to get this one behind us.
The 1 week ‘fix’ appears to have been broken by the latest iOS/iPadOS update, Version 8.9.6… anyone else experiencing the same?!
Yes, there have been reports of this behavior.

Samtheman67 I posted the link to 1PW7 (iOS) in the post immediately before your current one. Just offload or delete 1PW 8 from your phone or iPad and download and install 1PW 7 from the link and sign in. Reenable the Safari extension and you're good. I feel like a lot of us are ditching 1PW 8 for iOS right now because it's broken. Badly.

My Mac is fine. My iPhone is ok about 90% of the time with Face ID. iPad when I use Touch ID does not fill in my password to open up 1password. iPad is a pain to use with 1password. I have used one password for years have about 108 passwords. How do you go back to 1password 7? I think I will just use my I phone and Mac for now and keep my finger crossed that 1password can figure the out this problem soon.
