This has been a long time coming, and I just wanted to show you the magnitude of the impact this will have on my 1Password experience: 1Password Version: 1Password for Mac 8.10.18 (81018040) Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: macOS Sonoma 14.0 Browser: Arc 1.13170Views4likes3CommentsExperiment #7 - Anti-Peek Mode
Hello 1Password Community! At 1Password, we are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to help you use 1Password with confidence - even when you are out in the world and uncertain of how secure your surroundings are. This is why we’ve introduced Anti-Peek Mode, a new 1Password Labs feature for our Android and iOS applications that provides additional protection from unwanted shoulder surfing when using 1Password in unsecured, public environments. How does it work? When you enable Anti-Peek Mode in the 1Password app on your Android or iOS device, the following protections are applied making it harder for those around you to peek at your data: Items on the Home screen are blurred and require a long press to reveal Usernames, in addition to passwords, are also concealed by default on item detail screens and must be revealed to see Usernames are no longer displayed as subtitles for items on the Home or Search screens Quick actions when tapping on an item field are disabled and any actions (such as Reveal) must be invoked via the item’s overflow menu Recent search results are hidden. The “Always show passwords and full credit card numbers” option is disabled. Screenshots and screen recording are disabled (Android only) How to try Anti-Peek Mode To try out Anti-Peek mode, first, make sure that you are on the latest version of 1Password (8.10.62) on your iOS or Android device. Then, go to Settings > Labs > Anti-Peek Mode and simply enable the feature. We would love to hear what you think of Anti-Peek Mode as we work to make this feature even better! Once you’ve had a chance to try it out, make sure to share your feedback via this survey or by simply posting a comment below. 📣This feature will only be available in Labs until May 31, 2025 so try it out today!616Views3likes9CommentsWe're the team behind 1Password’s latest product enhancements. New Sign-In Experience (Beta) 👋 Hey everyone, we're excited to announce that a new sign-in experience is now live in beta! We've heard time and time again that signing into 1Password on a new device or browser is difficult, especially when having to type out your email or Secret Key manually. Now, simply choose “Scan QR Code” from the top left account menu in 1Password on your signed-in phone (Android or iOS) to quickly add your 1Password account to a new device or browser. To finish enrollment, confirm the new device or browser when prompted on your phone and voila! Your 1Password account is automatically added and ready to go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obqEheFUyis The new sign-in experience isn’t just convenient, it’s incredibly secure: when you scan the QR code, 1Password sets up an encrypted channel between your devices. It uses this channel to sign you in without asking for your credentials. The code itself is temporary and does not contain any secrets, so it’s resistant to screenshots and over-the-shoulder scans. Note: If you don't have your phone handy, you can still sign in manually too. But when adding 1Password to a new device or browser, the new sign-in experience is a quick and easy option without having to manually enter your information. And that's it! This feature is available on our beta and nightly release channels for the 1Password desktop app, TestFlight for iOS, and with the “Join the Beta” option (in the 1Password app management settings) on Android. Remember, you'll need to ensure you have the latest builds on all devices that are used to test this feature. Use your mobile phone to sign into a new device or browser and let us know what you think about this new beta feature 🙌1.4KViews2likes8CommentsEdge Browser Extension Won't open 1P windows Application

Holy crap. It's here! Mostly! It would be awesome if you had ONE more choice: domain only: match as long as domain.com matched host: the full host needs to match (i.e., sub.domain.com) full URL: the full host, port, and path 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: Not Provided Browser:_ Not Provided2.5KViews2likes55CommentsPls change "Show all matching items" search default to list (with cmd-return to go to top result)
I would like to request the user preference option to toggle the search behavior in the desktop application. At present with the 1P8 when searching key words, you get a dynamic list that's generated, but the return key will automatically go to the top result's entry. In order to show the list of matching items, you have to press command-return. This is counter-intuitive and contrary, I suspect, to most UI standards. In the least, a user option to toggle the behavior would be much welcomed, such that simply hitting return shows all the matches, while cmd-return goes to the to result. 1Password Version: 8.6 Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: macOS 12.3171Views1like7Comments
