feature request
360 Topics[Feature request (2018-bump)] Show number of matched logins on the 1P browser icon
Coming from Lastpass here, so far so good, but It feels like LastPass was much more features-packed than 1P. Is there any version meant for more advanced users ? Whenever I browse a website, 1P won't tell me if I have a matching entry on that domain, so I always have to remember if I have an account with it or not because neither the 1P browser exention's toolbar nor the desktop (windows)'s icons is telling. Worse, once I click the 1P manager to validate, 1P won't list the current domain's matching entries, so I have to search for it manually with the 1P search bar every time. I haven't digg much deep into 1P yet, but I couldn't find any front-end setting to enable such a feature or behaviour. Only workaround I found to this is to leave my lastpass extension open so it can provide me that information on the fly. 1Password Version: 1Password for Windows 8.10.45 Extension Version: 81044034, STABLE channel OS Version: 19045.4894 Browser: FF 130.0.1 (64-bit)84Views0likes7CommentsShow matching logins in browser extension drop down
I recently moved from LastPass and overall I am very happy with my experience so far. However, there is something that LP did that 1P doesn't seem to do (or at least I can't find a setting to enable it): When on a website login page, I sometimes need to access the Notes that are contained within the login item itself or I need to manually copy/paste the username/password if it doesn't fill properly. In LP, when I clicked on the browser extension icon, the matching logins displayed prominently in the drop down and I could easily access them. However, with 1P, it shows all logins and I have to take the added step to search for the login(s) I want to view. Is this something I can enable? If not, can you please submit this as a feature request? Since 1P already filters the matching logins to the popup in the login form, it seems like it would be a fairly simple thing to extend that to the drop down as well. Thank you.Solved69Views0likes4CommentsLogin Options Prompt covers website / OS info
Hello all, I am writing to suggest a possible feature request / tweak. I currently use 1password on Mac, iphone, and windows 11 and all of them work really well to bounce between multiple apps at a time but I do have a slight issue. Sometimes when clicking the 1password icon inside of a password entry box, it covers other information that auto populates base on the OS or website. For example, apple will attempt to auto populate authentication numbers (txt sms) or some sites reveal certain information as a drop down graphic after clicking inside of the box but 1password can sometimes cover up this information. I guess what I am asking is, is it possible to offset where the password box shows up when selecting a log in from your vault? Like off to the right or left instead of directly under the entry box? I have attached a screenshot. Sorry if this has already been mentioned.17Views0likes2CommentsFeature Suggestion: Time locked passwords
There are certain apps and websites I am trying to visit less, or ideally not at all. Similar to the various blocking apps which exist, I would really like to be able to apply this to passwords - e.g. don't let me access my Facebook password for a configurable time period, or set number of times in a period.10Views0likes1CommentSuggested feature - "Do not save" Blacklist
For certain websites, I do not want to save login credentials at all — not locally, not in the cloud, and ideally without being prompted to do so. The current “Never Autofill on this Website” option prevents automatic filling, but it does not stop 1Password from prompting to save or update credentials when new login data is entered. My suggestion: A dedicated “Do Not Save” blacklist for domains, similar to the existing autofill exclusion, but designed to suppress all interactions — no suggestions, no prompts, no updates. I believe many users dealing with sensitive or temporary logins would benefit from such a feature. Thanks for the great work and for listening to practical improvement ideas!20Views0likes2CommentsIntegration with “AutoFill & Passwords” in MacOS
In iOS, it’s super easy to make the 1Password app the default password manager for the whole OS. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be possible to do this on a Mac. Is this feature already available? If not, when can we expect to see it?Solved163Views0likes3CommentsUGOS UGreen NAS MFA
Hi 1Password community, I've just got myself a second NAS system from UGreen, which runs UGOS. I notice 1Password doesn't properly input the MFA code when prompted, and I have to manually copy and paste it into the UI when log into my UGreen NAS. When it tries to auto-paste the code - it seems to only input one number of the 6-digit code. A manual copy paste works though. UGOS is fairly new, so I understand it may not work for auto-login right away. it works on my Synology NAS for the MFA code auto-input - but not the UGreen NAS. Thought I'd mention it for a future fix!42Views0likes5Comments1Password fails to provide applicable password for some well known sites with requirements
I have commented / started a discussion in the past but it is now becoming a regular affair for me to correct the password created by 1Password as it simply not able to generate the password as per a website's requirement. Check for instance VFS Global (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VFS_Global) website (this is one of the most well known passport administration outsourcing companies for governments and diplomatic missions) Basically this website helps you apply for a visa for e.g. Schengen Visa from your home country to Europe. If I try to register it has a strict requirement for a password for e.g. (https://visa.vfsglobal.com/gbr/en/nld/register) The "smart" suggestion is completely wrong and I have to constantly refresh to achieve the desired format. At one point I simply give up and just replace the invalid symbol and add one of the approved ones. Same is the case for another well known website TLS Contact Now, I do not want to get into a discussion that the password randomness or security will be a concern as mentioned in the replies from Request for a powerful pasword generator. | 1Password Community 1Password Password Suggestions could be better | 1Password Community https://old.reddit.com/r/1Password/comments/1bocryy/1password_feature_missing_or_am_i_missing_the/kwt1apq/ The reply from reddit by one of the employees of 1Password quotes This can sound unintuitive, but a 25-character random password with no restrictions on its composition is stronger and harder to crack than a 25-character password where 6 of those characters must be digits and 4 must be symbols. I agree on this but stronger and harder is really subjective. Literally 15-character passwords even with requirements are already strong and hard take for instance the below password generated from Roboform (I really like the idea how Roboform has done, where user provides which symbols to include) This is the strength of the above password Notice there are 2 symbols, surely if I replace one char with a symbol it will greatly improve. Now, if I now use 1Password and generate a 15-character password Below is its strength Agreed 2 Billion (Roboform's 2 symbol) <<<<< 4 trillion (1Password's 3 symbol) but surely both these passwords are STRONG and HARD enough to crack. I am confident that many users (including myself) can live with password with 2 billion years to crack if their password manager is able to generate the password as restricted by a website and avoid spending tedious time getting the password right. All I am suggesting is have an option to select some symbols(similar to roboform) like the ones applicable and have the password generate for me. It should be an optional requirement where if user selects this feature then it mandatory for the user to provide the symbols they want and then password be generated accordingly.34Views0likes0Comments
