Touch ID doesn't work with the 1Password extension with Brave browser using a Mac

It keeps asking to manually enter my password to unlock 1Password. Never prompts for Touch ID.
Additionally always asks me to unlock by entering Shift+Command+X, and then to enter my password.

Why is it that cumbersome?

Using latest version of Brave 1.24.85, of OS X and of 1Password.

Touch ID unlock with 1Password in the browser is currently in beta, and will soon be available in the stable version.
If you'd like to enjoy it right now:

1. Download and install the latest beta version of 1Password 7 for Mac.
2. Download and install the latest beta version of 1Password in the browser (disable/remove the current one you currently have).
3. Enable Touch ID in the desktop app's preferences.

Is unlocking with Apple Watch also a part of this new version?

There's no ETA on the stable channel yet @ytagger , there are still a few things we need to implement/improve before it can reach the stable version.

And yes, Apple Watch unlock does work with it :)

Running Brave browser on Mac (latest version) and the extension version is 2.0.0

This is also happening again to me... Haven't tried the solution that was provided by email last time as it's time-consuming doing that every time this happens.

That didn't help. Last time there was something involving disabling the browser integration and reenabling it, but I cannot find that email.

Can you try turning the setting Integrate with 1Password app off and on again once? The logs show that the extension has issues connecting to the desktop app, so I wonder if refreshing things will be enough in this case.

i tried switching integration on and off - no difference.
