Sometimes 1Password for Safari just stops working

This will not be a very useful bug report, as I'm not sure how to reproduce the problem. But rather often -- more often than I would like -- 1Password for Safari just stops working. Right now I'm trying to sign into google. Clicking on the 1Password icon within the username ("Email or phone") field does nothing. Clicking on 1Password in the toolbar (or summoning it via keyboard shortcut) pulls up the browser extension, which tells me "No suggestions found for Google.com" -- even though I have several Google logins in my vaults. If I search for Google -- or for that matter anything -- in 1Password for Safari, it finds no results. It's as if my vaults are completely empty. Also, I notice that there is a lock icon on 1Password in the toolbar, even though 1Password is unlocked. When this happens, restarting Safari usually fixes the issue. But I dislike having to restart Safari whenever this issue arises, which is at least a few times a week.

I did notice, this time, that 1Password for Safari is showing me a notification that it has been updated to v2.3.3 ... perhaps the update process led to this issue? But I can't say for sure that I see this notification every time this problem arises.

    We can definitely investigate this further. The next time it occurs, can you collect a console log, Save a console log for 1Password in your browser, and attach it in an email to support+x@1password.com, mentioning the problem you're having? We'll be able to take a closer look at what could be happening.

    Thanks @Jack.P_1P, I will do this. Should I also send logs for the following problems? The below routine happens regularly when I try to use 1Password for Safari when 1Password is locked.

    1. Summon 1Password for Safarai -- unlock screen appears -- but password entry field is not focused. I have to click in it to enter my master password.
    2. After unlocking in step 1, the 1Password for Safari toolbar window does not change -- it remains locked -- I have to click out of it then summon it again.
    3. After finding the item I want in 1Password for Safari, hitting enter to autofill does not work -- I have to mouse over to the autofill button and click it.

    Are these bugs particular to my setup, for which logs would be helpful? Or are they just three separate problems that I should create three separate forum posts about?

    I run into these sort of problems all the time whenever I use 1Password, which is why I'm seeking the most useful way to report them.

    Thanks for sharing those additional issues you're running into.

    1 and 2 are somewhat related, and we continue to make improvements there, so keep an eye out.

    I was able to replicate number 3, so I've filed it and hopefully we can improve the state of play in the future. 😀
