Turning off Touch ID

Hey, I want to turn OFF Touch ID in 1Password, but every time I restart my laptop, or it goes to sleep and wakes up, Touch ID is turned on again. I turn it off by unticking the Touch ID checkbox in Settings > Security, but it resets to being turned on with the default 2 weeks password requirement all the time. Any idea what's going on?

  • Hi @esebesty - I'm sorry to hear about this. I've done some testing with 8.10.32 and I've been unable to replicate this behaviour. I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac so I can take a closer look at what's happening here:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)

Please attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

With your email, make sure to include:

Thank you for posting the Support ID. The team has received your diagnostics report and one of my colleagues will send you an email as soon as possible.
