Unlocking 1Password with neither touchID nor apple watch possible, greyed out in Settings

I'm sorry to hear that the biometrics unlock issue you're facing. Can you try the steps below:
- Right-click on the 1Password icon in your menubar and click Quit.
- Click the Finder icon in the Dock.
- From the menu bar, choose Go > Go to Folder.
- Copy and paste the following, then press Return:
- ~/Library/Group Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.1password/Library/Application Support/1Password/Data/settings
- Drag the "settings.json" file to Trash and then, empty the Trash.
- This will reset all of your settings in the 1Password for Mac desktop app.
- Open and unlock 1Password for Mac from your Applications folder using your account password.
Click on 1Password next to the in the menu bar.
Click Settings.
Click Security.
Turn Touch ID / Apple Watch unlock back on.
- You will need to modify other settings for your 1Password desktop app. Especially to enable the "Connect with 1Password in the browser" option under the Browser tab.

Hi Kevin, thank you very much for your prompt response. I followed your recipe. The Touch ID button is still greyed out, and the Apple Watch button has gone. So unfortunately this did not help. Rob
