Salesforce passkey not working as security key or built in authenticator

Anyone else run into issues recently with Salesforce using a passkey from 1Password?

I had a passkey registered as a security key in Salesforce, but it also worked as a built in authenticator.

A few days ago I started to get an "undefined error" when trying to use it or register a new passkey.

Salesforce won't try to fix it, as they say they only support built in authenticators like Windows or Mac, or security keys like yubi keys.

I did try to register using a passkey native to windows and it works fine, so I'm wondering if this is a change on the 1Password side.

I have a video of the issue, but I don't want to share it on an open forum because it has my email address.

If anyone else stumbles on this thread, support said they're aware of this issue and some users have told them its working in Firefox, but not Chrome. With no ETA on a potential fix.

  • @passwordsbeegone, thank you for the update! 🙂
