Changes not propagating in 1Password 4 via Dropbox

I rebooted both macs. No changes propagated either way. It feels like they both have some kind of local cache that isnt going to the dropbox file.

I have a similar problem, except with Google Drive. Changes were propagating both ways with version 3, but no syncing has happened since I installed version 4. I have rebooted my systems and also checked that Google Drive is syncing correctly with other files. Only 1Password seems to be affected.

Are you sure syncing is set to Dropbox, seems the default is to sync by iCloud.

I'm seeing the same thing. I've double checked the Sync, and it is pointing to my Dropbox folder (the 1Password.agilekeychain "folder"). I was able to get changes to propagate if I remove the sync to Dropbox and then re-add it. However, it usually results in some records creating new fields for "conflicts." And once I close out of 1Password and re-open, it will again not sync. I am using the MAS version and upgraded from the 3.x version.
Rebooting has not fixed it.

I have this problem. I checked that syncing is set to Dropbox. I've tried rebooting machines, I've even tried completely uninstalling 1Password 4 on all machines and then installing from scratch, everything, but Dropbox syncing just will not work. If I make a "test" entry on 1Password on one machine, it never shows up on the other. (Dropbox is syncing everything else just fine.)

OK, I tried removing 1Password from my Mac completely (after manually copying new items over to my iPhone/iPad/Windows Dropbox keychain). I uninstalled the app and then searched and removed anything related to agilebits in the file system (using terminal). Rebooted, re-installed from MAS, and configured it to sync with Dropbox again. It pulled everything as expected, and it synced to the Dropbox keychain this first time. Rebooted, and it once again stopped syncing to Dropbox. Items created on the iPhone/iPad/Windows do not appear in 1P4 for Mac and vice versa. (The Dropbox folder is showing updated files when I edit/create on iPhone/iPad/Windows but not when I update using 1P4 on Mac.) I'm pretty disappointed in this. I've come to rely on this software because it was supposed to make it easier to be secure. As it stands now, I essentially have two disconnected apps that don't do anything together. And since I have the MAS version (if only the Agile store had had the same "sale" price when it was introduced to the MAS), I have very little hope this will be fixed before work on Monday.

@applejosh - I feel for you. I went through the same process. Deleted every particle of 1Password from both my Macs, rebooted them. Placed my backed-up 1Password database in the Dropbox folder, waited for it to sync everywhere. Reinstalled 1Password 4, which tells me it's syncing via Dropbox ("X seconds ago" etc). Dropbox working fine. But I create a test secure note on one machine, and it never appears on the other. I don't want to do this all over again just to prove it doesn't work. I have no idea what to do other than to go back to 1Password 3 and get a refund from Apple. I'd like it to work (presumably it works via Dropbox for some people?) But there's no feedback or helpful answers here.

I have 1P v4 running on two Macs and two IOS devices, all syncing via Dropbox. Changes made on either of the Macs don't show up on any of the other devices. Changes made on either of the IOS devices quickly show up on the other IOS device, but not on the Macs.
Dropbox shows no recently changed files as I add entries on the Macs. I'm running Dropbox 2.4.1.

I use a sync folder on an external drive and have similar problems. I have an initial sync but nothing more with the primary vault. The sub vaults sync perfectly. The preference sync window shows after an app restart, sync x seconds ago, the file path is corecct, but checking the primary vault file in the sync folder shows, it's.older than the last shown sync. So, only primary vault stops syncing. Same problem on 2 machines. Same problem with 1P MAS Version and 1P 4 beta.

Another me-too. I also removed every particle of 1Password, and started over, but Dropbox syncing just isn't.
I have been considering switching to iCloud anyway, so I just did that on two macs and four iOS devices and syncing is working properly. Test entries in 1Password instantly propagate.0 -
Hi guys,
I apologize for the delay and the pain you're going through. We finally figured out the problem and have submitted an update with the important bug fixes to the Mac App Store. We've asked Apple for a quick review process and hopefully, Apple'll approve it soon.
The issue is that after you restart the computer or restart the 1Password mini, 1Password's sandboxing rights to your folders you chose for the sync (Dropbox, Google Drive or anything) were lost and so, it couldn't push changes to those folders at all. The 4.0.3 update will retain the rights.

Interesting...thanks for the update. But it is curious that the updates do appear on the local Mac on which they were made...so are they cached there somehow? will they be reflected in the global storage location with the update?

1Password 4 is different. It has its own internal storage that can also be synced with the .agilekeychain in the Dropbox folder. The internal storage is always available but the Dropbox folder is not because of the bug in our sandboxed version of 1Password.

I have had this same problem for a couple of months now. I have two macs both running Mavericks. I updated them both to the latest version 1password4 (4.4). Both point to the same dropbox folder (Programs >1Password > 1Password.agilekeychain). When I add a password entry on one it never syncs to the other. To verify Dropbox was still working, I created folder under Programs called "Test folder" and it synchronized properly.
Help!
P.S. I know they are out of sync because one 1Password reports 739 total items and the other reports 718.

Hi @Knertified,
I am sorry to hear about the trouble with 1Password! Lets figure out whats going on.
Could you please send us a Diagnostics Report from both Macs?
http://learn2.agilebits.com/1Password4/diagnostic-report.html
Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@ agilebits .com
Please do not post your Diagnostics Reports in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Reports in our inbox.
A short note here once you've sent the Reports in will help us to keep an eye out for them. :grinning:
Once we see the reports we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
