Safari autofill stops working, requires reboot
Hi,
1P will stop autofilling any fields on Safari periodically, usually once per day. If I switch to any other browser it works fine. Restarting Safari doesn't help, I need a full reboot of the machine to restore functionality. There is no error message, but nothing happens if I press the keyboard shortcut or if I click on the Safari menubar item and then select the login to fill.
This is a brand new iMac running 1P from the MAS (Version 4.1 (410009)), OS X 10.9.1 (13B42), and Safari version 7.0.1 (9537.73.11).
What information can I provide to help?
Thanks,
TA

Hi, @TA.
I'm sorry you're having trouble with 1P4 filling intermittently stop working in Safari. If it happens again please try restarting 1Password mini instead of restarting your system and see if that at least gets it temporarily working again. Then also send a Diagnostics Report from your Mac where it's happening and we'll follow up with you more about this through email; instructions are here:
Sending us your Diagnostics Report to help us help you!
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forum, but do include a link to this topic in the email so we can "connect the dots" when we receive it. A quick comment here mentioning that you've sent it would also be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hi sjk,
Thanks for the reply. I will try the restart of 1P mini at the next occurrence. I have also "reset" safari by removing all extensions and am adding them back one at a time to see if any of the other 2 extensions are the real cause of the issue but it shows up as a 1P problem as it is the most used extension. I will grab a diagnostic report next time it happens and reference this thread in the submission.

I was experiencing the same issue. I tried restarting 1Password as suggested and didn't notice a fix to the issue. However, I did just update to the latest version (v4.1.3) released last night and so far haven't had an issue. I'll keep tabs on it, but @TA I'd suggest updating if you haven't already. If you have, bummer! Hopefully there's a fix soon.

Hey guys,
@TA: Updating to 4.1.2 (MAS) is recommended, like @pauloman80 did to 4.1.3 (web store).
@pauloman80: Has it been restarting 1Password mini or restarting the main 1P4 app that hasn't? If you'd also like to send us a Diagnostics Report we can check that for clues to why you've been having this problem.
Thanks!

I also encountered this issue (using 4.1.3 the build before 413002). Restarting 1Password Mini did not fix the problem. Restarting 1Password or Safari did also not solve the problem. Restarting the whole system always worked.

Thanks for the feedback, @ChrisDE123.
Would you mind sending a Diagnostics Report so we can take a look at the 1P4 logs? Thanks!

@sjk, it's either. I was fine for a while after installing the update, but then it started up again this morning. Perhaps something to do with the computer going to sleep, the laptop being closed, etc.? I'll send a diagnostic report post haste. =)

Report received, @pauloman80 -- thanks!
Please try disabling the Animate form filling option under Preferences… > Browser and let me know if that helps:
Note that it probably won't make a difference if you're also having trouble with filling in non-Safari browsers.

I have been having this problem and disabling the Animate form filling was an instant fix. Thanks!

Update: It happened again today, but the symptoms and resolution were different. Cmd-\ didn't work so I clicked on 1P Mini. 1P Mini said "Install Safari Extension" The extension is, of course, installed.
I quit and relaunched 1P Mini to resolve.
